Poplar Tree Garden Centre celebrates its 40th anniversary next year and finally Durham, and Shincliffe have a Food Hall & Farm shop. Villagers are excited about the prospect of walking to a local shop, and peoplee are driving as far as Newcastle to enjoy the unique food we have on offer here at Brambles Food Hall Durham

Built with no expense spared, Brambles Food Hall and Farm shop is a unique building in itslef and is over 300m2 in size. The construction is adjoined to Brambles Coffee Shop and customers can gain access through the hallway leading from the door next to the till inside Brambles Coffee Shop. If the weather is nice, you may want to gain entrance to the food hall from outside, after browsing the bedding plants, pots or water features in Poplar Tree garden Centre, and we cater for wheelchair access at both entrances. If you head to the bottom right of The GardeN Centre you will soon see the sign above the door indicating the entrance to the food hall. And once you have been in, hopefully finsing us will become second nature as you do your weekly shopping.

We are noticing a huge demand from customers for cooked meats such as ham, chicken, bacon and farmhouse ready meals such as the Lokk what we Found range of foods which are exceptional value for money, starting at under £3 and tasting delicious. This range includes foods such as British Beef Chilli Con Carne, Leek Casserole and everyones favourite it seems...Gloucester Pork meatballs with butter beans in Rich Tomato Sauce.

A Farm shop would not be a farm shop without a grand selection of cheeses, pickles, jams and preservatives. We have free tasters on a regular basis so be sure to ask at the counter. Dont be shy, we are here to help and please.

To accompany our huge selection of meats and ready meals, we have a large range of farmshouse soups, which are thick and tasty, aswell as the essentials such as milk, fizzy drinks, pastas, rice, potatoes, yorkshire puddings, flour, and other ingredients to make a wonderful dinner, or just a quick snack.
